The Benjamin Shein Family Foundation is proud to have sponsored the fifth annual Bud Cuthbert Golf Classic, an event to honor the life of Bud Cuthbert. The day included lunch and golf, followed by dinner with cocktails. The proceeds of the event went to the Bud Cuthbert Research and Patient Care Fund at the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania. The event was held at the Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, Pennsylvania, hosting over 100 golfers from the Philadelphia area.
The Cuthbert Cancer Foundation was formed by the family of Bud Cuthbert in his honor after he passed away in March, 2011 from mesothelioma. The Foundation aims to aid patients and their families that have been affected by a mesothelioma diagnosis. The first Annual Cuthbert Golf Classic was hosted on April 30, 2012 and raised over $50,000 from sponsors and donors, including The Benjamin Shein Family Foundation.
